CBS takes deeper roots The neighbourhood.
The broadcaster has renewed The neighbourhood – the longest-running current comedy series – for a sixth season. The show is currently filming its 100th episode, which will air later this season.
“The neighbourhood has become a hit not only for laughs, but also for telling stories with cultural impact,” Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment, said in a statement. “From gentrification to Black Lives Matter, to addiction and pregnancy loss, the incredible writers and this amazing cast push boundaries and entertain us endlessly. As they film their 100th episode this week, directed by Cedric the Entertainer, we’re pleased to announce that we welcome back this outstanding series for a sixth season.
