Social media users were outraged when Madonna posted a video to her Instagram account in which it appeared that she was licking water from a bowl.
The 64-year-old pop music legend posed for still photographs in the post before cutting to a hazy clip of her crawling around on all fours with her head just above the bowl. One user called the picture “embarrassing” and “disgusting.”
The rapper 50 Cent restarted a rivalry with her after calling her a “grandma” and making fun of a video of her violently lip-syncing to a Baby Keem song. The result was the release of the clip, which grossed out many Twitter users.
The singer of the hit song “Material Girl” was pictured riding a motorcycle while showcasing her form in skimpy clothing.
She put on a show while wearing leg-bearing shorts, daring fishnet tights, and over-the-knee black suede boots.
Madonna finished her look with a furry green T-shirt and a black undershirt. She was adorned with a large silver necklace, white-framed sunglasses, and curly red hair.
However, the part of her slideshow that seemed to irritate some social media users was a pause that cut to a video of her appearing to lean down for a drink in a silver dog bowl inside the garage.
The pop star appears to stick her tongue out and approach the bowl, but a close look reveals that she didn’t actually lick it.
It appears to be a fun (and overly literal) response to The Stooges’ I Wanna Be Your Dog, a proto-punk classic from 1969, which provided the musical backdrop for her slide show.
Numerous artists have covered the song, which as of 2021, was included at number 314 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list.
Even Madonna herself recycled the song by sampling it for her 2005 single I Love New York.
One Twitter user claimed that Madonna had posted another disturbing and embarrassing video on Instagram in which she was seen licking water from a dog bowl. “This has had to be like an 8 on a scale of 1-10, with 10 being #Kanye.”
The artist’s apparent unwillingness to act her age angered some people.
One person said, “Grow up already!” “You’re too old to be licking a dog bowl. You’re no longer the material girl; now you’re like the foolish nut job girl,” was the statement made.
Someone else made fun of it, saying, “I wouldn’t let my dog drink out of a bowl Madonna licked!”
A commenter made fun of Madonna by saying she “humped a stranger’s leg” and compared her to a dog.
One person merely asked, “Why is Madonna licking a dog bowl?”
One commenter made the facetious claim that the critics missed Madonna’s video.
You simply aren’t “educated” enough to comprehend Madonna’s art, they tweeted. ‘ The dog bowl represents servitude and slavery, and the water in it stands for capitalism’s insufficient spiritual hydration.
They saved the worst insult for last: “The artist’s coyote ugliness signifies… nasty.”
Although the slideshow’s dog bowl section appeared to garner the most attention, Madonna also released a risqué image of herself crouching suggestively over a bottle of hot sriracha sauce while leaning against a shelf full of condiments.
The internet insults started after 50 Cent renewed his rivalry with Into The Groove by referring to her as a “grandma” and criticizing her for a recent weird lip-syncing video.
The 47-year-old rapper from In Da Club, who got into a verbal confrontation with the singer after making fun of a se*xual selfie of her in 2021, attacked the singer on Instagram over a different recent clip in which she aggressively lip-synced to Baby Keem’s song Vent.
I told y’all grandma was on bulls**, 50 (actual name Curtis James Jackson III) tweeted in response to a post that featured a story on Madonna’s video. At 64, like a virgin, “LOL.”. Before hashtagging his personal booze brands, he said.
The star’s message has not yet received a response from Madonna.
This comes after the singer of the hit song “Like A Prayer” created a stir last week with a music video in which she could be seen muttering the words, “Have you ever been punched in your motherf**king face?” Oh, you haven’t, you say? Right, hold on.
She displayed her bust in a sheer black top below a lace corset.
She uploaded a much more explicit video to her TikTok account in which she performed twerk for the camera while dancing about in a lace bra and high-waisted underwear.
After 50 Cent made fun of a sensual selfie Madonna shared in December of last year, Madonna responded to him on Instagram.
Madonna shared a picture from 2003 of herself jokingly standing next to the rapper she was calling out for being fake.
The Material Girl captioned the image, “Here is 50 Cent claiming to be my friend.” “Now that you’ve made the decision talk trash about me!

The rapper was called out by Papa Don’t Preach for his tendency to criticize people on social media.
“I assume your new job [is] earning attention by trying to humiliate others on social media [the] least elevated choice you could make as [an] artist and an adult,” she said. You’re just jealous because she won’t look as wonderful as me or enjoy life as much when you’re my age, she says.
Too bad there are no sour grapes [emojis], said Madonna.
In addition, Madonna shared a clip with her 17.1 million followers using a Yoda filter, encouraging them to be confident.
It could be worse, she replied, “you could be me for example.” I like my appearance, but some people have a difficult time appreciating those that are different from them. And because I’m different from everyone else, they try to embarrass, degrade, or somehow make me feel inferior.
However, I have become stronger as a result of my uniqueness because it is rare, and I cherish it.
The singer of the hit song “Like a Virgin” gained fame after posting a series of se*xy photos showing her in fishnet stockings, black underwear, and heels, with one revealing her legs and behind.
The latter photo was afterward published by 50 Cent, who used it as an opportunity to criticize Madonna and bring up her age and the content of her posts.
The If I Can’t rapper wrote, “Yo, this is the funniest s***!” LOL, Madonna is beneath the bed pretending to be a virgin at the age of 63. If she didn’t get her old a** up, [she] shot out. LMFAO.’
Earlier this week, 50 Cent re-posted the image that compared Madonna to the Wicked Witch of the East from The Wizard of Oz by photo-shopping her legs and posterior behind a house in an image from the 1939 classic.
‘STARZ asked me to do a remake, but I said only if Madonna was going to play the part since I need star power and s*ex appeal in this one,’ he added.
